And a Maestro as well!

I am fascinated by a great many things; philosophy, religion, the natural world, art, people, minds, math, and other things. Above all of these, though, is music!

The science of sound entrances me much like a piece of string entrances a cat. I will continue to play with it until it is taken away unless food (or a lovely lady cat *wink*) is brought into the room. Someday I aspire to become an audio technician or DJ. If I ever get a job that allows me to work with sound, I will be a happy man.

Presently, I compose electronic works on my home computer using Fruity Loops Studio. I dabble in many sub-genres of electronic music, but tend to favor dance music and chillout.

Here are a few of my experiments...

I am a Professional-crastinator

My mornings begin at five o'clock most weekdays. Why? Because I'm cool like that.

Even though I rise at such an ungodly hour, I am unfailingly late to band practice on a daily basis.

This morning I woke up at five ten, made coffee, took a shower, got dressed and spiffed up, then headed out to my car. I've never had a full tank of gas. The meter usually hovers slightly above the 'E'. My car stalled in the parking lot this morning, but I managed to roll it into my usual spot. Thus, I achieved a truly epic feat of procrastination.

The rest of the day was quite dull and uneventful.

This, my friends, is why I daydream. When the most exciting point of your day is running out of gas, you truly 'need' imagination to keep you sane...

On a side note, I created you this picture in Desktop Publishing class 6th hour.
One of these strange creatures attacked me in the parking lot after school today.

Instinctively, I threw a nearby student at it as a distraction; which sated its appetite quite effectively.
While it was distracted, I retrieved the Molecular Displacement Beam (a modified Super-Soaker) from the trunk of my car and displaced the molecules of what I assume was its head with the surrounding air particles.

The slayed beast bled black and had a familiar smell. It didn't take me long to recognize the pungent odor.

I filled my decaying Toyota with the highly flammable blood of the queer monster and started my journey home.

What's this?! A blog?!

I haven't the slightest idea of what I am attempting or how to go about it....

Good day my fellow daydreamers.

My name is Drew Terry. You are free to imagine me as a dashing Victorian gentleman with a striking, well sculpted face. I can assure you that this is not exactly what I look like, but you are definitely free to imagine me as such.

While there is a great deal of information I could tell you about myself, but I do not want to type all of it right now.

By using the context I've provided thus far, one can safely assume;
  1.  I am a man
  2. I am a man of sophistication and eloquence
  3. I am an utterly lazy bastard
  4. I daydream
  5. I am familiar with a sub-genre of science-fiction called 'steam-punk'.
I have a deep admiration for the weird and the wonderful; the beautiful and the bizarre...
Surrealism, fractal art, steam-punk stories, ghost hunts, decrepit ruins, old world alchemy and the like all fascinate me.

So tell me, what do I post about first?
